Photoshop Warmup 9d: Road Removal
Directions:
Drag the
photo below to your desktop.
Launch Photoshop, and open the photo in Photoshop. (FILE>OPEN>Desktop)
1) Change the Mode to RGB. To do this, go to IMAGE: MODE: RGB.
2) Use
the Clone Stamp Tool to remove the road. Fill in the area where the road was
with more dirt, brush and plants. Be sure to make your changes on a new layer:
Replaced Road.
Tips: There is no need for a bounding box.
You will need to alter the size of your Clone Stamp Tool several times.
Take the Hardness down to zero, for best effect.
Zoom in, and be sure to get rid of all of the road, even in the distance.
Make it look as realistic as possible!
3)
Next, zoom in and find the gray-green post in the middle of the photo. Eliminate
it. Be sure to add a new layer: Replace Post.
Advanced Users: After you have successfully removed the road (and made it appear as if it was never there) find the fence posts on the left side of the landscape. Remove them. Also remove any other man made items, such as the sign posts and small bridge going over the culvert. Zoom in.
