Directions:

Step One: Go to the PLACES website. Read, look and investigate all the different ways that an artist might use places to inspire their artworks.
(Hint: some of the most interesting and creative are NOT typical landscapes!)

Step Two: Next, find a photo of a place that inspires you. This is your "inspiration" photo. It can be a photo you have taken yourself, or you may use the internet to find an inspirational place. GLUE the PHOTO that serves as your inspiration to the facing page of your journ. Write where the photo was taken under it.

Step Three: Read over the list of required elements below! Include all for full credit!

REQUIREMENTS: All the usual journal elements must be present for full credit including:

  1. Page fully colored, with drawing and coloring. Use rich, full color.
  2. Meaningful text: Include both text from the website, plus any personal thoughts, poems, lyrics, etc., that you would like to includel
  3. Collage: Be sure to include collage in a creative way that enhances the colors and textures in your page. Do not use pictures of things, or use more than 20% of the overall page.
  4. Use good composition and be sure your page has a clear center of attention.
  5. Journal page must be in your journal for credit!
  6. Journal must include a facing page with your inspirational photo/picture.
