JOURNAL ASSIGNMENT: The Text Journal

Due Date: Thurs., Oct. 1, 2009
Critique Date: Monday, Oct. 5, 2009

OBJECTIVE: Using text only (from magazines, newspaper, etc.), create a journal page that shows excellence, and an understanding of good design!
Remember that it should represent time, planning and effort...and show how excellent your skills are! It should relate to your concentration in some respect.

For credit, your page should have:

*a clear center of attention
* good composition
* balance of positive and negative space
* good contrast
*Layering
* Color (somewhere...may be used as only emphasis if you wish).

Remember that it must be scanable, so no 3D effects or big lumpy areas, please.
