Theme:
Roy Lichtenstein
This is a research
journal!
Your job is to research Roy Lichtenstein. You may use books or websites.
Look
at his art.
Read about his life and his work.
Absorb the nature of his art.
How does it look? What colors does he use? What kind of line?
Next, choose
an artwork by Lichtenstein, and recreate it in a new way!
Use the Lichtenstein "style" and make it your own!
Create a journal page that reflects your research AND brings something
new and original to it!
(One idea would be to take a photograph and recreate it in a "Lichtenstein"
style...).
Be creative and use the skills you've learned in journaling this
year to create a page that is bright,
well composed and full of information!
Have fun with
it!

- In your journal, tell me which of Lichtenstein's paintings you will be using for your inspiration!
You may simply print out and paste in a copy of the artwork on the facing page, OR you can sketch it. ALSO required is the name of the painting. Write this information under your sketch/print. (Note: It may also be included
somewhere in your journal, as college. See the college requirments below).

& Full Color-
