DEADLINE:
PORTFOLIOS ARE DUE on Thursday, January 12, 2012: Your completed Portfolio must be properly shared, from your .pgcps gmail account, by today. The deadline will be 10 minutes prior to the end of class, to ensure that everyone is properly logged off.
This will be a 200 point assessment grade. It must contain all pages shown at right, plus cooresponding completed artwork, carefully constructed title pages, carefully written BCR's, and updated Table of Contents to receive maximum points.

MAKE UP DAY is Friday, Jan. 13th, 2012 is make up day.
Students who WERE absent will have today to complete and submit their portfolio.

Note that all portfolios will be downloaded as .pdf files on Friday, Jan. 13th for evaluation....Students who happen to be absent BOTH days will be required to start any further work from the downloaded file....Any work on the internet at this point will not be scored. ONLY the copy I have downloaded. (This is to ensure that no student has an unfair advantage of working over the 3 day weekend!) This does not apply to those students who were out for long periods prior to Winter Break, who have a doctor's note.

HOW TO CREATE
YOUR

ELECTRONIC PORTFOLIO
in PGCPS Gmail: Google Presentation

OBJECTIVE: Students will use Google Presentation to build a portfolio for evaluation that reflects all studio work created during the year.
For full credit, your Portfolio should contain all required items for this nine week (listed at right) and any other assignments listed.

NOTE: This is a CUMULATIVE portfolio, and counts as an Assessment Grade each quarter. Each nine weeks, it is worth 100 points more than the previous nine weeks. Work not included in one nine weeks will continue to count against overall score. Be sure to bring it current, even if the nine weeks has ended for the "project" grade.

1st Nine Weeks =100 points (plus points for exam)
2nd Nine Weeks=200 points (plus points for exam)
3rd Nine Weeks =300 points (plus points for exam)
4th Nine Weeks =400 points!
(plus points for final exam)

YOUR PORTFOLIOS MUST INCLUDE all the items listed at right, and:

* Two autobiography pages that include information about you, photos and maybe even a video! REMEMBER that this document is online, shared with me and Mr. McNeill and your parents! Keep it appropriate. This is not Facebook! It's a school document. Also remember that proper sentence construction, capitalization, punctuation and grammar also should be excellent.

* A table of contents page, listing all entries.

* Pages for each assigned project or exercise, in order. (SEE LIST at right).

* A BCR on each project or exercise page, that includes the objective and some reflective writing about how you feel you did on the project. (Use complete sentences, correct punctuation and capitalization).

*Art work that is saved properly before putting it in Presentation. To do this, open your work and save it as a .jpg file. OPEN the .jpg file and go to FILE: SAVE FOR WEB. Click on IMAGE SIZE and enter 25% for Quads. SAVE.

*Artwork that is scaled as large as possible on each slide, while maintaining the original proportion. (To scale artwork correctly, drag by the corners, holding the shift key as you do so. This will keep it in proportion!).

*For scanned images, you will need to experiment with size! TBA

*SHARE your Portfolio with Ms. Cunningham.
To do this:

1. Log in to your PGCPS Gmail. Click in the box to the left of your file.

2) Just above your file, you will lfind the SHARE button. It looks like a little man with a plus sign! Click it.

3) Type Ms. Cunningham's email in at the bottom "Add People".

My email is: lindac@pgcps.org

4. Click DONE.
