COUNTDOWN
TO THE END
OF THE NINE WEEKS!
All work for this nine weeks is due on
THURSDAY, JAN. 20th, 2011,
15 minutes into the class period.
Make
up day: THURS., JAN. 21ST, 2011
PORTFOLIOS received beyond the deadline will be reduced one letter grade for each minute they are overdue. DO NOT WAIT until the last minute. Get it in the beginning of the period!
Why are portfolios due before the end of the period?
Portfolios are due as late as possible, while still allowing maximum time for logouts. This also ensures that no student logs out "late", and causes students in the following class to lose time!
What's due
in the portfolio? (200 pts Assessment Grade)
(Note:
This is a cumulative portfolio. Each nine weeks, it will increase in value
each quarter by100 points.)
1. All projects and pages as listed in the yellow box, seen at right.
2. Pages must be in order, for full credit
3. Projects: Either inserted as files or screenshots (directions below).
3. A BCR for each project page must follow the art work, that reflects the objective and a statement about how you did on the project. Spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization and thoughtfulness of writing all count!
5. Journal pages, scanned. (No BCR is required, but is OK if you have time!) See directions below.
6. Nine Weeks Exam should be your last page.
SCANNING INFORMATION FOR JOURNALS:
Scan in color,
at 150 dpi.
Please use a .jpg file type, even if you are scanning at home or library.
There will be a calendar for using the scanners. On the day you are assigned, you need to bring your journal and be ready to scan. If you miss your assigned day, it will be up to you to come after school, to scan. Two scanners are now online, and the media center has a scanner, also. Put the scans on your flash drive.
HOW TO MAKE A SCREEN SHOT:
To
make a successful screenshot,
BIGGER IS BETTER!
STEP ONE: Zoom in, so that your artwork is as large as possible. Be sure to drag it open, and use the entire screen! The quality of the screenshot MAKES A DIFFERENCE!
STEP TWO: Press the following three keys on your keyboard: Command+Shift+4
STEP THREE: When the cursor appears, drag around the artwork that you want to capture.
STEP FOUR: Look on your desktop for a new file called, "Picture 1". Doubleclick to open.
STEP FIVE: SAVE your file as a JPG file format using the drop down menu. Name it, "YLNI SHOT1".
Hint: It will help you to organize if you make a folder in DOCUMENTS called "BILLY'S SCREENSHOTS" (using your own name).
