Mirror-Image Project

Objective: To create an elegant, well-designed composition that has been created by using mirror symmetry.

FIRST PROJECT CHECK: End of class on Wednesday. (Keep in mind we are not in school on Monday. Please get a good start on this during THIS week, so that you're not unprepared.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Use original photography: You may only use images you have shot yourself!
• Use photos that are clean, clear, unclutted and in-focus. Be sure to improve them by using Shadow & Highlight, and any other photo editing tool necessary.
• Use new visual material! Do not reuse anything that has already been "seen" in any of your previous works.
• Work should look complete! It should stand on it's own as a finished work of art that you would be comfortable putting in a frame and hanging on your wall!
• Your work should have many LAYERS of carefully constructed visual information. Check out the detail at right.
• Use colors carefully.
• Be sure your design has sufficient
• Your work should live up to the College Board expectations.
