to the Art*iculation website. After the website launches, click on Elements
of Art (left menu), and then on Color.
Read the article and look carefully at the examples.
- Check
out the color wheel below, which can also be found in printable form on
this website.

After reading, play the "Name The Color Family" activity. There
are three exercises to complete.
Answer the following questions on your own paper.
- Exercise #1: DESCRIBE the painting that uses monochromatic values/colors.
- Exercise #2: Which painting uses complementary colors? Describe it. Can you guess where this painting comes from?
- Exercise #3: Which painting uses warm colors? Describe it.
